Digital Asset Receipt (DAR), is a depository receipt, where an asset owner elects to place that asset in the care of GRDA and receives an acknowledgment from GRDA as to their safekeeping of that asset. The asset owner may elect to have such an acknowledgment sent to a third party. GRDA as issuer of the DAR takes the responsibility of being the legally responsible custodian.
The various assets that can be held in such arrangements range from money, share, stock or bond holdings to real estate titles, precious metals among others. The owner of a DAR may monetize this instrument much like other traditional financial instruments and use these funds as an alternative funding source for projects.
DAR indicates that the asset that is deposited and held custody does not become an asset of GRDA and that the asset will be returned to the bearer of DAR upon request.
